Green Productive Investment from €30,000 to €200,000 with a 40%-50% grant

The application start date for the "Green Productive Investment SME" program has been announced. Application submissions begin on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 12:00. The evaluation process is immediate [FIFO - First in First out], where investment projects are evaluated in the order they are submitted, until the action's budget is exhausted.

The Green Productive Investment SME program grants investment projects of between €30,000 and €200,000 and aims to upgrade small and medium-sized businesses, utilizing modern technologies and best practices in matters of energy upgrading and circular economy.

The amount of the grant is 40%, while it can reach 50%, as long as "GREEN" costs are incurred at a rate of at least 20% of the total project.

Expenditures such as the following are subsidized:

• Buildings, facilities and surroundings.
• Machinery, Production and Mechanical/ Other Equipment.
• Equipment (GREEN) for improving Energy Efficiency, Energy Saving, Circular Economy, Photovoltaics.
• Certification of Products - Services - Processes, Patents, Intellectual Property.
• Packaging Design Services - Label - Branding.
• Digital Display and Outsourcing Expenses.
• Participation in trade fairs.
• Technical Studies & Consulting Services.
• Means of Transport (GREEN) for Professional Use (only electric vehicles).
• Salary cost of new employees (new staff from 1 to 3 EME).

The eligibility of the expenditures begins from the date of publication of the Action (6/3/2023), while the maximum duration of completion of the investment is 24 months.

Beneficiaries are Very Small, Small and Medium Enterprises which in principle meet the following criteria:

• They have started operating before 1/1/2022 (ie they have completed at least one full fiscal year).
• They had at least two (2) EMEs of dependent labor in 2022.
• They are essentially active in an eligible Business Activity Code (Main BAC or BAC with the highest revenue).
• They operate legally by having the appropriate, in accordance with current legislation, operating license.
• They have been registered in the Register of Beneficial Beneficiaries (law 4557/2018) before the date of submission of the application.
• They accumulate a score of more than 40 based on the scoring criteria.

The funding application (investment proposal) is submitted exclusively electronically to the New Integrated Information System of State Aids (OPSKE) of the Ministry of Development and Investments. The Evaluation process is particularly strict, as no outstanding items will be requested, resulting in any deficiencies rendering an application Rejected.
