Pre-releases January 2023 [NSRF Program]

The following information concerns the expected support programs for businesses through NSRF and comes from the official websites of the Ministry of Development & Investments, as well as from the websites of the Operational Programs/competent Intermediate Management Agencies.

Expected Business Grant Programs Granted [January 2023]:


SME Green Transition (2 actions)

The SME Green Transition of the Program "Competitiveness/ NSRF 2021 - 2027" is a set of programs with a total budget of €700.000.000. It aims at upgrading the country's small and medium enterprises and rewards the following:

  • Utilization and development of modern technologies
  • Upgrading the products produced/services provided
  • Infrastructure improvement in matters of energy upgrading
  • Adoption of circular economy best practices and clean sources.

The SME Green Transition consists of the following two partial actions:

 SME Green Productive Investment (€350.000.000)

The SME Green Productive Investment action concerns businesses that had at least two (2) FMEs (Full Employment Units) in the year 2022 (the calendar year preceding the submission of the funding application).

The subsidized budget of the funding application ranges from € 30.000 up to € 200.000.

Expenditures for improving energy efficiency and energy saving are subsidized:

  • Buildings, Facilities, Surrounding Space
  • Machinery, Plant, Equipment
  • Certification of Products and Services
  • Packaging Design Services - Label - Branding
  • Advertising and Outreach Expenses
  • Participation in trade fairs
  • Technical Studies / Consulting Services
  • Means of Transport (electric)
  • Salary cost of new employees

Pre-publication of Action 2: Green SME Productive Investment

 

 SME Green Transformation (€350,000,000)

The SME Green Transformation action concerns businesses that had at least three (3) FMEs (Full Employment Units) in the year 2022 (the calendar year preceding the submission of the funding application).

The subsidized budget of each investment project varies from € 200.001 to € 1.000.000.

Expenditures for improving energy efficiency and energy saving are subsidized:

  • Buildings, Facilities, Surrounding Space
  • Machinery, Plant, Equipment
  • Certification of Products and Services
  • Packaging Design Services - Label - Branding
  • Advertising and Outreach Expenses
  • Participation in trade fairs
  • Technical Studies / Consulting Services
  • Means of Transport (electric)
  • Salary cost of new employees

Digital Transformation (3 actions)


The SME Digital Transformation of the "Competitiveness/ NSRF 2021 - 2027" Program is a set of programs with a total budget of €300.000.000. It aims to address the lag of Greek businesses in the adoption and integration of modern digital technologies. It covers targeted needs depending on the existing digital and technological maturity of Small and Medium Enterprises.

The SME Digital Transformation consists of the following three individual actions:

 

Basic SME Transformation

The Basic SME Digital Transformation  action concerns medium-sized, small and very small businesses that have not yet integrated important information and telecommunications technologies (ICT) in their operation and aims to cover basic deficiencies in applications and equipment.

They should have had at least five (5) EMEs in 2022 (calendar year preceding the submission of the funding application), based on pre-publication.

The subsidized budget of each investment project ranges from €18.000 to €30.000, while the subsidy rate ranges from 40% to 60%.

The maximum duration of completion of the investment will not exceed nine (9) months from the date of issuance of the Approval Decision.

Pre-publication of Action 1 - SME Basic Digital Transformation

 

✓ Advanced SME Digital Transformation

The Advanced SME Digital Transformation action concerns medium, small and very small businesses that aim to expand their digital and technological maturity with integrated investments in new ICT.

They should have had at least nine (9) EMEs in 2022 (calendar year preceding the submission of the funding application), based on pre-publication.

The subsidized budget of each investment project ranges from €50.000 to €650.000, while the subsidy rate ranges from 10% to 50%.

The maximum duration of completion of the investment will not exceed fifteen (15) months from the date of issuance of the Integration Decision.

Pre-publication of Action 2 - Advanced SME Digital Transformation

 

✓ Cutting Edge SME Digital Transformation

The  Cutting Edge SME Digital Transformation Action concerns medium, small and very small enterprises that have already integrated ICT in many of their operations and now seek to implement integrated investments in cutting-edge technologies or in 4th industrial revolution solutions.

They should have had at least nine (9) EMEs in 2022 (calendar year preceding the submission of the funding application), based on pre-publication.

The subsidized budget of each investment project ranges from €201.000 to €1.200.000, while the subsidy rate ranges from 25% to 60%.

The maximum duration of completion of the investment will not exceed eighteen (18) months from the date of issuance of the Incorporation Decision.

Pre-publication of Action 3 - Cutting Edge SME Digital Transformation

 

Other Actions

✓ Conserving - Venturing (€200.000.000)

The action Conserving - Venturing concerns the improvement of the Energy Performance of Very Small, Small and Medium Businesses of Commerce, Services and Tourism.

The subsidy rate ranges from 40% to 50%, depending on the type of expenditure and the size of the business.

The maximum budget amount for a funding application is €100.000 for trade and service businesses and €500.000 for tourism businesses.

The improvement of the energy efficiency of the operation of small and medium enterprises is subsidized. The minimum energy-environmental goal is defined as a minimum saving of 30% of energy costs. (Reduction of emitted pollutants (CO2) by at least 35% / Saving of primary energy by at least 35% / Upgrading the energy category based on EPC by at least three (3) energy classes in relation to the existing classification.
